Product Updates - April 2026

Open Parachute updates for April 2026

This month’s updates are designed to help schools support student wellbeing both in the classroom and at home. We've added new Caregiver Resources to address common family challenges and updated the name of our Focused Topics program to better reflect its flexible, student-centered approach:

2 x New Caregiver Resources

New Caregiver Resource: 'School Avoidance'

Our new School Avoidance handout and worksheet combination is designed to help parents and caregivers support children who may be struggling to attend school.

Through a practical four-step plan, families can identify barriers to attendance, develop supportive strategies, and build confidence in addressing school avoidance one step at a time.

New Caregiver Resource: 'How to Build Strong Communication with Your Child'

This new caregiver handout provides practical, evidence-informed strategies for strengthening communication between parents and children. By focusing on skills that foster trust, emotional safety, and connection, the resource helps families build strong foundations that support resilience, well-being, and healthy relationships at home.

'Focused Topics' Program Update

To better support the evolving needs of your students and classroom conversations, we've made a small update to one of our programs.

The program previously titled 'Stress & Anxiety: Focused Topics' is now simply 'Focused Topics'.

This updated name reflects the broader purpose of the program: a collection of flexible, topic-based units designed to address issues that matter most to students today. While the name has changed, the existing content remains the same.
