Before beginning the Open Parachute program, you have the option of giving students in Grades 3 to 12 the Pre-Program Quiz.
This Quiz is designed to assess your students' skills across the five CASEL competencies (Relationship Skills, Responsible Decision-Making, Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness).
It takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete.
Students can complete the quiz Online or on Paper. Students do not require Open Parachute Accounts to complete the online version.
The Student Pre-Program Quiz is located on your Dashboard.
Accessing the Pre-Program Quiz
When you enter the Pre-Program Quiz, click on the relevant Lesson and click Start Lesson.
Enter a Name for your class:
Select the number of Students in your class. Note. Select a few extra students to be on the safe side. Once the selected number of submissions have been received, no further submissions will be allowed.
Select how long you would like the Quiz to remain active. Note. Once the time expires, the survey will be closed, and the report will automatically be generated based on all responses received.
How Students Access The Quiz:
After you generate the Quiz Link, a QR Code, and a Short Code will appear on screen.
To Access the Quiz, students can either:
Scan the QR code
Visit op.school and enter in the 4 digit code
You can Copy the Link and share it with Students by clicking on Share Link.

Paper Version
Printable PDF versions of the Pre-Program Quiz for all age groups are available within the Lesson Materials section of the Quiz, if you would prefer to have your students handwrite their responses.
Once your students' online Pre-Program Quiz have been submitted, you will receive a Report. To find out more about Reports, see our Help Article: Student Pre-Program Quiz Reports.
