Elementary School Posters:
Classroom posters display the four steps of the Being Well Model:
Elementary School posters explore some strategies
for each of the four steps of the Being Well Model
How to Utilize the Strategy Poster Examples:
FEEL: Display the “FEEL” poster in a visible classroom space and reference the examples during daily check-ins, class discussions, or when students are experiencing strong feelings. Encourage students to explore and use the strategies on the poster that feel most supportive and effective for them in that moment.
PAUSE: Use the “PAUSE” poster as a visual reminder before transitions, tests, classroom discussions, or potentially challenging activities. Educators can model the breathing or grounding strategies shown on the poster and encourage students to practice them together to build independent self-regulation habits and routines.
THINK: Refer to the “THINK” poster during reflective conversations, problem-solving activities, or organic conflict-resolution moments. Encourage students to use the strategies on the poster to consider different perspectives and make thoughtful decisions.
ACT: Incorporate the “ACT” poster into daily classroom routines and expectations by referring to the examples when students are making choices. Reinforce the strategies on the poster by celebrating respectful communication, boundary-setting, healthy decision-making, and help-seeking behaviors in everyday classroom interactions.
