How To Use Educator Strategies

Educator Strategies are short Resource PDFs you can read and/or print out for use with students. The strategies are intended to build relationships and community, be brief and low-pressure, and can be easily embedded into classroom/homeroom/pastoral care as needed.

What Strategies are Available?

Connection Strategies

A variety of Connection Strategies are available to build connections between educators and students, as well as between students inside the classroom.

These include:

Regulation Strategies

Regulation Strategies are available to educators to gently welcome and support students who have been chronically absent back into the classroom. They will also help hold students accountable for time missed or for engaging in unhelpful behaviours in the classroom, while ensuring they are still supported.

These include:

Student Voice Opportunities

The strategies also include Student Voice Opportunities to allow students to have their voices heard with regard to mental health and wellbeing within the school.
