Product Updates - August 2026

This month, we've made a mix of behind-the-scenes improvements and resource updates to make Open Parachute clearer and easier to use. We've refined Usage Insights for more accurate reporting, added new context to Student Voice lessons to help students understand the real stories behind the videos, and simplified our administrator handbook to make launching Open Parachute even easier.

We've simplified our Onboarding Handbook for Administrators into a new, streamlined resource: Launching Open Parachute. The updated guide focuses on the need-to-know information school administrators need to successfully introduce Open Parachute at their school, making it quicker and easier to understand the key steps for getting started.

We've added a new introductory slide before every Student Voice video to help students understand that the stories they're about to hear are real. The slide makes it clear that the student featured are sharing their own lived experiences, helping provide important context and encourage thoughtful, respectful engagement with their stories.

This month, we've also been working behind the scenes to improve the accuracy and reliability of the Usage Insights page. We've refined how lesson usage is categorized and reported, helping ensure the data you see provides a clearer picture of how Open Parachute is being used across your school.
